baff.gg is in alpha and made by a small team. We're looking for people who want to help build it: keeping the community friendly, writing code, drawing Baff, making videos and getting the word out.

Community 4 roles

  • Community Moderator

    Keep baff.gg Community friendly: answer questions, handle reports and help new people find their way.

  • Support Staff

    Answer support tickets, reproduce bugs people report and get them to the right developer.

  • Event Host

    Run game nights, contests and Q&As in baff.gg Community.

  • QA Tester

    Try new features before they ship, on desktop and phones, and write bug reports we can act on.

Engineering 4 roles

  • Frontend Developer

    Build the app in Svelte 5 and TypeScript: chat, calls, settings, the phone layout.

  • Backend Developer

    Work on the Rust server (Axum, Postgres): the API, the gateway, voice and storage.

  • Desktop and Mobile Developer

    Improve the Tauri desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and the phone experience.

  • Bot Developer

    Build and maintain baff.gg's own bots and the examples in the developer docs.

Creative 5 roles

  • Video Editor

    Cut trailers, feature videos and short clips for social media.

  • Animator

    Bring Baff to life: stickers, motion graphics and animated emoji.

  • Artist and Illustrator

    Draw Baff, emoji, banners and the art for the website and app.

  • UI/UX Designer

    Design new features and polish the ones we have, from flows to pixel details.

  • Sound Designer

    Make the sounds baff.gg plays: joins, leaves, mentions and notifications.

Growth 4 roles

  • Social Media Manager

    Run our accounts on X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube: posts, clips and replies.

  • Partnerships and Growth

    Bring communities, creators and bot developers to baff.gg and look after them once they arrive.

  • Writer

    Write the docs, release notes, help articles and the words inside the app.

  • Translator

    Translate the app and docs into your language when we add more languages.
