Help keep baff.gg free
baff.gg is free and we plan to keep it that way. The servers aren’t, though. If you want to throw some money at them, that helps. You won’t get a badge or anything for it.
Where it goes
This is what the bills are for.
The server
One machine runs chat, the database, the website and our bots, all day every day. The database gets backed up every night.
Voice and screen share
Calls and screen share run on our own voice server, plus a relay for people on networks that block calls.
Files
Avatars, emoji, stickers and everything people upload live on Cloudflare. So do the backups.
Email
Verification links, password resets, receipts and replies from support.
Questions
Do I get anything for donating?
Nope. No badge, no perks. Everyone gets the same app whether they donate or not.
Is it tax-deductible?
No. We’re a company, not a charity, so we can’t give you a tax receipt for donations. You do still get a normal receipt.
Can I donate every month?
Not yet, it’s one payment at a time. You’re welcome to come back and do it again.
Can I get my money back?
Donations are final. If you sent one by mistake, email business@baff.gg and we’ll sort it out.
Does baff.gg see my card?
No. You pay on Stripe’s page, not ours. Stripe just tells us it went through and gives us your name, email and country for the receipt.
What do you keep about me?
The payment, the receipt, and the name and email you paid with. We need them for our books. More in the privacy policy.
